One year ago today I received my first ever scentsy order. It was a zebra full size, zebra plug in and 6 bars.
I was so excited opening the box. I couldn't wait to plug them in and pop in some cubes of Scentsy wax!
I was addicted from the second I opened the box.
I love that it warms the wax with a light bulb and only warms it to room temperature. I love that the scent lasts so long. I love the variety of beautiful warmers and so many scents, scent circles, scent packs, room sprays, body washes, body butter. Seriously what's not to love?
I signed up to sell the same day, not knowing anything about the product or what I was doing. All I knew was I loved it and needed more. Purchasing my starter kit was the best decision and by far the best investment I have ever made in my life
One year ago today I started my own business for $119. A business that has opened so many doors. I went from being just a stay at home mom, to a work at home mom. I am able to earn money and stay home with my daughter. I reached my goal of director in November, and I now have a team of 20 amazing women who sell not only Scentsy, but Velata and Grace Adele.
Scentsy is so much more than selling wickless candles. So so much more. Scentsy is a career, it's a full time job but only if you want it to be. It's a hobby, a part time job or just something you love.
Scentsy is a family.
I love how it brings together so many people, and I am so thankful for my Scentsy sisters, all over Canada and the US.
Lots of people have asked me what makes me so motivated, and how was I so successful? At first I thought it was just luck. It had to be.. I never in a million years thought I would go so far with a direct sales company.
The truth is I love the product. I love the company. I have been living and breathing this stuff for a year.
I love to share it. I sell it because I love to talk about it... I love hearing positive feedback from customers. I love that something so simple can bring so much joy.
I love that I can help other people start and grow their own businesses, grow their own teams .
If you think you can't do it, you can. Anyone can do it, and it's so easy.
All it took for me was two zebra warmers and a few scent bars and I was hooked!

One of those days
After a busy 5 days of errands, house hunting and family activities, Dj is on his way back to Alberta today, and I was hoping for our usual quiet lazy day.
Normally I take the day after he leaves to clean, get work done, and catch up on everything else I let slide.
It's usually a pretty lazy low key day.
Except today.
Today started at 6am, with Loki barking her head off, and then breaking her leash when I let her out to pee.
because I was exhausted and wearing nothing but a t shirt and underwear, I just left it alone and didn't even put her back on her crate hoping she would sleep on the couch, stop barking and I could squeeze in another few hours of sleep.
That worked... kind of. Dylan woke up with a runny nose and a fever.
Loki chewed up one of my bras when I was sleeping. That's always fun.
I did manage to to get a work out done and make a really yummy and low cal lunch.
But of course when we were eating lunch, Loki broke the second, stronger leash and when I finally got her in, she ran over and ate Dylan's lunch.
Dylan was yelling OH MY GOD she ate my lunch!
Hilarious, but still what a pain.
Now that everyone is fed, leashes are hopefully fixed enough until Friday when I buy a chain that would hold back a bear I am hopefully putting the sick baby down to nap, taking a shower, cleaning and working.
But I know it won't go as smooth as it sounds.
And it's not even 2pm... seriously, why is it not bed time??

Hello Sunshine!
Today is a great day! The sun is shining and the boy friend is coming home from work!
And he's going to put all the legs back on the coffee table, so I'm happy today.
Mostly because he is coming home!
And did I mention the sun is shining? Yay
Having the sun out makes it so much easier to get up and get moving, after a late night and early morning with my cutie pie toddler.
I love matching up Scentsy Scents with the weather and my mood so today I'm warning Hello Yellow the March Scent of the month! It's the perfect scent for a happy sunny day like today!
Happy Sunny Thursday everyone!

Pintastic Oatmeal Recipe!
Ok so I know there is blogs dedicated to Pintrest mess ups, but I love a little Pintrest in my life.
I hate cooking I'm terrible at it, so without creeping Pintrest daily for recipes and ideas, we would be eating take out everyday. And let's face it those blogs are hilarious!!
I'm not trying to be the perfect mother or house wife here, because usually anything I make looks like crap, so I get really excited when something looks great AND tastes delicious.
Anyway, onto the recipe! I'm so happy I found this one! And this whole blog is fabulous, worth checking out for sure.
1/2 cup of rolled oats ( I use Compliments quick oats from Sobeys, only $3.99)
1/8 tsp of salt. ( I apparently can't read and totally missed that salt, so you might not even need it)
1/4 cup of unsweetened apple sauce or banana ( I use mashed up banana, it's soo yummy!)
a splash of vanilla, because who has time for measuring
1 or 2 tbsp of coconut butter ( I have used regular margarine, still tastes the same)
1/4 cup of liquid can be water, milk, I use coconut milk, and I usually put about 1/2 a cup because I like it really milky!
A handful of chocolate chips, blueberries, raisins what ever you have around!
I don't have any cute little sized pans so I just pour it all into a glass cassaroll dish that's got a little olive or coconut oil in it, and then bake until firmish. I like to add a extra splash of milk when it's done. Since I use quick oats it's done in less than 10, mins and it's warm, gooey and delicious!
It's really a Pintastic Pintrest find ;) Seriously, look at it!

Quick someone help because I have no clue what I'm doing.
Just posting your average every day blog about everything I love, adventures in Mommy Land, Scentsy. Shopping, Yoga.
Yep that pretty much sums it up :)
So try not to judge me too hard!
